BATMAN: ARKHAM ORIGINS Benchmark Video in 4K Resolution!

Fans of the "Batman: Arkham Origins" video game are gonna completely love this video! YouTube now supports 60 FPS videos, so PC GAMER Magazine tested it with this footage shot in 4K resolution!

The extreme sharpness and clarity of it is totally insane! I mean, when a character steps on the ground, you can see tiny bits of micro-dust fly around. Also, stuff like "snow flakes" looks so real!

In other words, the textures and shadows are extremely realistic. OK, I know this post might only appeal to "Game Design Nerds" but check it out anyway. It looks AMAZING!

ARGENTINA NEWS: #BATMAN SAVES THE DAY!

Here's a super great "Batman" story that is getting a lot of hype in Córdoba, Argentina. On Wednesday, October 29th,  at noon, a man dressed in black witnessed a crime where some thief tried to steal a woman's purse in the middle of downtown.

So, this guy jumped from a first-floor balcony to grab the criminal! Witnesses at the scene yelled, "Empeso Batman, Empeso Batman!". A Police Officer, who happened to be near there, arrived and that scumbag was arrested!

The story is getting a ton of attention in the local news media there. The TV News and Radio Stations are calling this guy "Batman" and we could not be more proud.

Special Note:
Thank you Gabriel for sharing this wonderful story with us. I love Argentina!

The Amazing Comic Book Graphic Art of Jerry Bennett! #Batman #Joker

I recently went to an awesome Comic Book Convention here where I live, in Oklahoma, where I got to see the wonderful artwork of an Artist named Jerry Bennett. He's a very popular local artist and it was fun to see his art in-person. I mean, I have seen it many times online, but the photos just don't do it justice.

Jerry does freelance work for an Indy Comic Book and Graphic Novel Publishing Company called ENIGMA ENDEAVORS. There, he teams-up with a Writer named Jackson Compton and they have created a line of books titled, NADIR'S ZENITH.

Nadir's Zenith is a compelling Science Fiction-type story where you, the reader, get to follow the adventures of Captain John Nadir, Space Marshal of the Intergalactic Peace Corps (IPC)! Yes, Nadir's Zenith is Space Opera 100 years in the making.

Right now they are working on issue number 4 and the first three issues have done really well. Speaking of Issue number 4, they have started a KICKSTARTER page where you can donate and help them get this book completed, plus you can also receive some exclusive material.

You can purchase these books online in a Digital Format (for Kindle, Apple iPad, Smart Phones and more) at COMIXOLOGY and INDY PLANET. But I prefer actual printed paper books and you can get them at Indy Planet as well. Here's a link for the REAL BOOKS.

OK, Jerry also sells Art Prints of his favorite TV/Comic/Movie characters. The 2 images at the very top of this post show some of his BATMAN and JOKER ones he has done. These prints measure 11" X 17" and are very high quality. He sells them for $16.00 each and that price includes shipping! The cool thing is that you can order them online, which is perfect for people who don't live near here. For orders outside the USA you'll need to contact him for a special price.

You can get these BATMAN and JOKER Art Prints by contacting him directly at his personal e-mail address:

ArtistJerryBennett@gmail.com

One last thing, if you are a Facebook member then please be sure to visit their Official NADIR'S ZENITH page and/or the ENIGMA ENDEAVORS page. Jerry Bennett is also on TWITTER.

*whew!

Romain Jerome x DC Comics #Batman DNA Watches

Over at the HIGH SNOBIETY website the other day they did a post about some new Batman merchandise that I find seriously shocking! Check out these brand-new timepieces that the Designer, Romain Jerome, has come out with. He created 2 wristwatches that have a "Dark Knight" theme and they're meant to celebrate the Caped Crusader’s 75th birthday.

OK, look at the pics up above, they're pretty cool looking, right? But hold on a minute, before you fall in love, please take note that these puppies cost $18,955.63 each! Yes, you read that right, eighteen thousand-plus dollars each!! Whoa! You know, I forget sometimes that there are people out there that can afford this kind of stuff. This completely blows my mind, ha!

OK, Now how cool is this?! Airing on television, right now, in the beautiful country of Brazil is this brand-new BATMAN 1966 TV Series-Inspired Commercial Ad for the Bradesco Seguros Insurance Company.

The production value here is extremely well done and it seems like the Actors all really got into doing their characters. I totally love it!

You might remember we posted one of these with the JOKER awhile back. If you missed it, here's a LINK.

Oh yeah, we wanna thank our good friend, Fabio, for sharing this awesome video with us!

#BATMAN MADNESS Spotted All Over The World!!

Here's a fun post I like to do every now and then that represents the love of the BATMAN character as seen all over the world. Here at the BAT-BLOG we sometimes get some fan mail from people in other countries (Yes, I totally love that!). Here are some wonderful examples.

First up is this really great photo from a sweet girl named Stephane. She recently attended a fair event in Rouen, France and came across this BATMOBILE Ride! Oh man, how cool is that?!

Next up is a group shot from some cosplay friends in the Netherlands. This was at a Comic Con event and they all dressed-up as Batman-related Villains! We got Harley Quinn, The Joker, Red Hood, Deathstroke, and a nice variety of Riddler Cosplayers.

Yes, I guess the Riddler is extremely popular there but they all look great! Hey, what's that X-Men Girl doing in the shot? Ha Ha, oh well, she is pretty cute though so I'll let it slide.

Now, last but not least, is a series of pics showing some amazing BATMAN TATTOO ART that was done in the UK. Yes, England! Here, you can see many different angles of this "sleeve" and we get Batman, The Joker, Scarecrow and Two-Face. They're all extremely well done and the attention to detail is awesome. Now, I usually like to list the Tattoo Artist and the name of the person who got the bat-tat done, but like an idiot, I have totally lost all that information. So, I apologize to them right now but I gotta add that these tattoos look super-great!

#BATMAN HUMOR - BIZARRO Comic Strips by Dan Piraro!

Here's a quick post to share these 2 totally funny Batman-related BIZARRO Comic Strips by Dan Piraro. I love the drawing of the 1966 Batmobile in the Bat-Cave!

I know this Cartoonist HAS to be a major Batman Fan because he does a parody of this character every now and then. If you would like to read more of his strips you can just CLICK HERE!

#BATMAN and #JOKER #HALLOWEEN Holiday Wallpapers!

Halloween is right around the corner so I thought I'd share these "Holiday-Themed" Wallpapers you can use to brighten your desktop.

First up is this wonderful photo sent to us all the way from France. This is our buddy, Syl Duverne, and he is a French Cosplayer and a HUGE Batman Fan !  Yes, that's him in his bat-suit, the Michael Keaton version of course!

Then, I used the promo graphics for the DC Comics "Death of the Family" Graphic Novel that comes with the JOKER Face Mask... SUPER-CREEPY!

Next up is a graphic from the now classic BATMAN "The Long Halloween" Graphic Novel and then an image of a BATMAN PUMPKIN that some super-creative person made.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN FROM THE BAT-BLOG!!

RARE Vintage BATMAN TOYS and Collectibles From Sweden!!

I recently got an email from a very good friend named Andreas who lives in Sweden. He wanted to share a few fun photos with us that show some cool vintage BATMAN toys and items from of his personal collection and it is all really great stuff!

He has thousands of items mostly because he started to collect Batman Stuff at the age of 8, which was back in 1983. He tries to keep his collection varied and cover as many "eras" as possible. But stuff from 1966 and 1989 is what he likes to collect the most.

First off we have a Swedish Reprint BATMAN AND ROBIN Comic Book. I totally love the Golden Age Style Graphics and foreign language ( Well, "foreign to me", ha ha! ). It's from ©1950.

Next up, we have a super-rare BATMAN FRICTION MOTOR CYCLE Toy made by Lincoln International (New Zealand)  in the original box ©1967.

Then, check out these BATMAN Bubble Gum Candy Wrappers from the United Kingdom ©1966/67.

Then, last but not least, a cool BATMAN PEZ from 1966, with original cape.

Also, if you would like to see more of his amazing BATMAN Toy Collection then please CLICK HERE!

New JUSTICE LEAGUE TOYS BOX SET Sold at McDonald's in Hong Kong! #Batman #Joker

Awhile back, here at the BAT-BLOG, we had been reporting about that special BATMAN BURGER that McDonald's is releasing in Hong Kong. It was big news at the time and a lot of fun. Then, a good friend of ours who actually lives there told us there was also a special toy you could buy, a set of JUSTICE LEAGUE Cube-Like Figures! One of them is Batman and you can see him down below:

Wait! Here's some more news. Our good friend, Stone Wong, sent us these pics he took on a recent trip to the Restaurant. He even got me some of those Batman Figures so I wanna thank him publicly for those as well. The figure is AWESOME!

Now, be sure to check out these fun pics. They show some of the McDonald's advertising signs and banners promoting the toys. It looks like you can also buy figures of Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, Flash, Green Lantern!

They sell the DC Comics' characters individually and also as a boxed set. Plus, if you buy the BOX SET, you also get a bonus figure of the JOKER!

Oh man, so awesome! Thank you Stone for sharing your photos. This is pretty cool!

THE ULTIMATE 1966 BATMOBILE and MONKEEMOBILE DRAG RACE - This Sunday in Raceway, NJ!

Just a quick post to share the awesome news that this Sunday, October 26th, at the RACEWAY PARK in Englishtown, New Jersey, there will be an ULTIMATE DRAG RACE between the 1966 Batman BATMOBILE and the 60's Monkees TV Show MONKEEMOBILE!!

Yes, both of these amazing cars will be on hand and the event promises so much more! There will be many other car races going on other than the Batmobile one and more TV/Movie prop cars are scheduled to arrive. I heard that the Starsky and Hutch Torino Car will be there.

It also looks like there will be another drag race between a Hazzard County Police Car and the General Lee from the Dukes of Hazzard! I even heard a rumor that the BLACK BEAUTY car from the 1960's GREEN HORNET TV Show will be there too!

It looks like it's gonna be a great event and, did I mention, they will also have a "Pin-Up Girl" Contest! Oh yeah, MEOW!

Plus, there's a rumor that more DC Comics super heroines will be added to the toy line. My only regret in posting this is that I don't know how tall these figures are. But they do look pretty cool and I just might have to get that one of the Catwoman, MEOW! OK, I actually want all three, ha!

Authentic 1966 BATMAN TV Series BATMOBILE CAR Photo Signed by GEORGE BARRIS!

A Bat-Blog Fan named David sent us some totally wonderful pics the other night that we knew we had to share here. Back in 2003 he wrote a letter to Mr. George Barris of Barris Kustom Industries.

It was a simple letter, just saying thank you for being a part of his youth, as he grew-up watching reruns of the 1966 BATMAN TV Series and dreaming of the magnificent Batmobile car. Never expecting anything in return, really just saying, "Thanks for the memories". Then, to his surprise, he received the autographed photo up above and this letter!

Now, I know a ton of people who have met Mr. Barris at Comic Book Conventions, Car Shows, etc... and everyone says the exact same thing. That he is a ultra friendly and a very nice person. That is so cool!

I hope I get a chance to meet him someday because I too would thank him for making my childhood just a little bit better. Thanks George, and Thank you David for sharing your fun pics and story.

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes BATMAN BE-LEAGUERED Movie Coming to Cartoon Network

On October 27th, at 6:00 pm (5:00 Central), please be sure to watch the Cartoon Network's premier one-shot animated movie special event of the showing of LEGO / DC Comics Super Heroes, BATMAN BE-LEAGUERED!

Yes, it looks like the Justice League are sponging-off of Batman's fame again, ha! Here are some trailers down below, check 'em out!

DC COMICS x JUSTICE LEAGUE French OASIS Soda Pop Cans = AWESOME!

DC Comics has teamed-up with the OASIS Soda Pop Company in France to bring beverages with "Justice League Superhero" graphics to stores. It looks like Batman is Lemon-Flavored, Superman is Orange, Flash is Strawberry, and Wonder Woman is maybe... Raspberry?

Anyhow, here's a video, totally in French, that shows an unveiling of the product. Now, I think this "BOX" is only available to people who the PR company mailed these to. I'm not sure yet. I say that because a year or two ago Mountain Dew sent me a similar package for their "Batman Drink". But either way, these cans are a lot of fun!

Oh man, I really really want the BATMAN can, ha ha!

Thanks James, I Love This Car!
